VOLUNTEER REQUEST

Salvage of historical features from Brough Lodge

Saturday /Sunday March19/20 2011 – 9.00am to 5.00pm

The first phase of repairs at Brough Lodge, to get the building wind and water tight, will begin soon. Completion of works is expected by autumn 2012 by Shetland Amenity Trust, the main contractor. For more details on the project, please visit the website - www.broughlodge.org

Before starting the repair work, a salvage process under the supervision of Groves Raines Architects and SAT is necessary. Volunteers are kindly asked for their support (on either Saturday, Sunday or both days) to assist with this community project.

An evening meal will be provided to all volunteers by the Brough Lodge Trust on Saturday March 19th.

A few volunteers from Shetland Islands Council have already offered their support, and we hope there will be plenty of interest from Fetlar residents also.

To register as a volunteer, please contact Pierre Cambillard  either via e-mail pecambillard@yahoo.com  or at  Mioness after March 9th .

Thank You
